Learning time?

Summer at our house is pretty great.

But, our kids might argue that point with you.  Each day they are required to do 4 pages in their workbook, reading for at least 20 minutes, piano practicing, cleaning their rooms, and maybe 1 more chore.

In all, this might take about 1 hour.
Not long.
I hear some interesting arguments about why this is completely unfair.  Summer, they tell me, is all about playing video games, swimming, and playing with friends.

Yet, I am steadfast and immovable. I am momzilla. And, my kids' brains will not turn to mush on my watch.

Plus, isn't it fun to see how smart kids are?  I love watching their brains work away.
LOVE IT!

Hey Sara! It was so nice to meet you in person. Your complexion and hair is just as stunning as it is in pictures! SO, your book really makes me want to learn how to quilt. Seriously...I'm just trying to decide if I can possibly squeeze ONE more thing in! lol Your family is beautiful! my blog is private, but if you're on FB and wanna send me your email address there-I'll add ya so you can spy on me too. lol

It's so nice to know I am not the only "Mean Mom" during Summer. Mean Moms are the BEST!

Yah, apparently we do the other route: no workbook, no piano practicing, the rooms are a mess, no chores. To us, the summer IS all about video games, swimming and playing with friends! And my kids' brains (and bodies) are getting nice and mushy! Okay, so they do do SOME chores, and we do work on their rooms. But I do need to get more organized and have them use their brain power a bit more!!!
