Additional Help

Okay, the name thing is still not working for me.  I moderately like every name.   But, I want to say "Yes, that's it."  So, here are a list of words I like.  Tell me how you feel, what you think, or how to change them to make it perfect.  Okay, or at least good enough to move on.  Here they are:

become (maybe becoming designs...bj doesn't love it)
bloom
clarity
cherish
clean
delight
discover
enduring
fresh
haven
nourish
nurture
spark
sprout
sparkle

now, all you brilliant friends and family, work your magic.  I can't wait.

I have been spending my whole day drawing up new designs, thinking outside the "block" and it has been pretty fun.  I have no idea where I am going to get the time to make all these quilts, but I will have to pick the ideas I like best and see if they translate well to fabric.  Let's hope they do.

I think my favorite out of that list is "enduring." Of course, it makes you think of something that will last for a long time. And quilts so often become beloved heirlooms and treasured possessions. So, I really like Enduring Designs.

I loved your little play on words with "out of the block" as well. What about something like:
'Enduring (or Endearing) Treasures/Pieces/Designs'
...created outside of the block!

So many great choices...so much great talent!

Hmmm. So, whatever you pick for your name, even if it was just "Designs by Sarah" for example, you could use three descriptive words underneath it (like on your business cards)

Designs by Sarah
Fresh. Nurturing. Enduring.

You know, whichever three are your favorite.

And, this just jumped out at me because you like to make baby quilts and I used to work at a little preschool-called Nurturing Beginnings..maybe something like that? Something warm and cuddly? Like a nice quilt? =) That's all I've got right now. Still thinking though.

I'm spending Weds in the ER and PICU with Elizabeth Denise. Come on down. I won't have time to talk to you for about two weeks.

Sarah, I am so glad that Lizzy is home and that she can begin her road to recovery. It was so good to see those pictures of her smiling and being herself!

I am so glad that you are going to be doing the quilt business!!! I can't think of a name that jumps out at me yet, but I was thinking that whatever you do should be able to incorporate a theme. For instance, if you did something like "Blooming Designs", then you would be able to call your baby quilts something like "Little Sprouts" and then if you made larger quilts they could be called something like "Full Bloomers" or something like that where you could keep it all within the context of a garden theme...or some other theme (the garden one was just an idea). You could even make those little blankets that are really small that kids take with them wherever they go and you could call them something like "planting seeds". Okay, there's my two cents!
