After much consideration, I have temporarily decided to go ahead with the quilt thing. I am sure I am bound to alter my decision at any point. But I digress.....Here is where I need your assistance. I need a name. Yes, a name. I would prefer to not just have it be "sarah's quilts." I would like it actually to be ________ designs, that way I am open to change the business if and when it grows. I am looking for a name that says....modern, sweet, soft, funky, spunky, homey, etc.... I have thought of Pumpkin Pie designs, because I call my kids pumpkin pie, and that seems sweet to me. But the idea of designing the logos in all fall colors makes me shy away from that idea. Then I thought of peach pie designs, but don't know if I love it. So, please, all you smart friends and family out there, help me come up with a name. It doesn't have to be a fruit/vegetable, but it definitely could be. So, what's it going to be? Oh, and if I adore your name, maybe I'll make a quilt for you someday (or maybe I already did, and you owe me ....ha ha ha). I can't wait for all the bountiful ideas to pour in and flood my mailbox. I'm waiting.

Sarah!
I'm so glad I found your blog off of Katie's. I have a private blog, I would love to invite you to. Email me at: laura_whipple at yahoo.com I'm not the greatest at coming up with business names, but I'll keep thinking for you. I like both peach and pumpkin pie, both are very cute. I'm excited to see some quilt designs, I need some inspiration. Laura (Kenney) Whipple
I have no ideas. You'll recall my girls' groups names were: Candle Club, Flag Dolls, and Sowing Sisters. See? No help there.
How about Fruit Medley? Or, you could use a specific fruit like raspberry...Raspberry Medley. Ryan's school lunch calendar lists fruit medley as a side dish all the time, and I thought it would be cute for quilt designs, since quilts are made up of a "medley" of patterns and fabrics. I don't know, just an idea...
Hmmm. I'm thinking...I'm not sure that fruit or pie is the way to go...but I'll have to think about it...I also asked a friend of mine for ideas b/c she's really good at coming up with ideas...I'll get back to you. Could you post a quilt picture or two? That might help.
Ok don't laugh I think "blah, blah blah designs" is actually cute! It's kind of funny in a way people won't forget.
I agree with Allie that blah blah blah is cute and it fits your "spunky" personality. (define spunky as you wish)
I also thought something Patch would be cute but not sure what, Pumpkin Patch it cute but then you have the same issue with fall colors and strawberry patch sounds to little kiddish to me... hmmmm. I'll keep thinking.
Okay,
Let's get the brainstorming going here:
Zest Designs
Zesty and Zany.. Fresh Quilt Designs
Lime Zest
Sweet Lime Designs.. Sublime!
Lime Medley
Key Lime Pie
Oooh, now I'm getting hungry.
Those are DARLING Quilts... Love them!
Based on your post with the pictures of the quilts, I'd suggest something like Sweet and Spicy Designs. Then you get your sweet and your spicy in there! Beautiful quilts Sarah!
I have a hard time with such ideas also how about....
cocoa bean designs
aspen tree designs
bisel designs
heartpatch designs
paisley designs
I don't know. I will have to put more thought into it.
What about Common Thread Designs?
I'm so excited for you that you're going to do it! And you're right... I owe you a name, big time! Let me think & I'll get back to you.
first must say: What is it with your friends and fruit? I'm not a big fan of the fruity names. Too cutesie and makes me want to regurgitate a little bit. But that's just me.
OK, here are some probably equally dorky suggestions: Dandy, Groovy, Delectable, Scrumptious.
Yeah, that's all I've got. And when you were using words to explain the kind of name that you were looking for, when I first read it, I thought that "homey" was "horny". That could have been an interesting inspiration for a name :)
Actually, the whole "blah blah blah" thing ain't bad. Although it doesn't represent your work well.
Oh yes, one more thing. HOW COME I HAVE TO READ YOUR BLOG TO FIND OUT THIS KIND OF STUFF!
